I’ve been studying Mandarin language and culture since age four, and now take the most advanced classes in Mandarin UC Berkeley has to offer. Since I started learning, I’ve received a 5/5 in AP Chinese, a 7/7 in IB Mandarin (SL-B), and attended a the Global Young Leaders Program hosted by Peking University in China. I now help facilitate language acquisition as a Peer Coordinator at the UC Berkeley Language Exchange Program, where I lead the English and Mandarin as a second language pods.

I enjoy making learning active and engaging by incorporating storytelling, songs, drama, art, movement, and traditional Chinese culture into my lessons. I have also taught oral speaking, traditional Chinese martial arts, and meditation, helping children build confidence, self-discipline, and strong communication skills.
