About your baseball coach
Current minor league pitcher for the Colorado Rockies Organization with over two decades of passion for baseball. I have playing experience at the highschool, collegiate and currently the professional level. I offer expertise in skill development and mental strategy, as well as building confident athletes. With knowledge in how to train in the gym as a baseball player as well as understanding the technology and metrics of today’s game I’m confident I can help any athlete at any level. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFigure out your individual goals in baseball. Identify your strengths and weaknesses. Go over general warmup protocol and throwing routine and throwing mechanics.
Lesson 4-10Start to introduce more specific skills like throwing drills for mechanics and specific pitch grips. Start to focus more on command and throwing strikes with our good mechanics.
Lesson 2-3Improve on the foundation we set in lesson one. Begin working on a routine we can use to improve throughout the course of the season. Focus on repeating good mechanics and habits.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonGo over your base and assess current strengths and areas of improvement. Evaluate where you are at currently and the lowest hanging fruit to improve you as a player.
Lesson 11+Measure our success before and after training plan and work on maintaining good habits and executing skills under pressure.
Lesson 4-10Focus on translating new mechanics or pitches to more game like scenarios.
Lesson 2-3Attack the areas we identified and introduce drills and cues to help isolate it and hone the newly acquired movements or skills.
