Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWill start with initial skill measurement drills that will allow me to gauge where the athlete is at relative to their age level. Will work through fundamental drills to start and work our way up to where the player feels comfortable.
Lesson 11+Athlete will be able to walk into any and all drills with ease and see increased confidence/comfort in all related drills with the expectation that they will translate to in-game functionality and success.
Lesson 4-10Will start to form a routine of drills that the athlete can expect on a weekly basis to slowly refine and sharpen his defensive skillset. More effective and efficient drills for lateral mobility, glove work, throwing mechanics, and advanced understanding of the outfield position.
Lesson 2-3More diverse set of drills with increased difficulty that will challenge the player in regard to charging ground balls into the outfield, tracking fly balls underway, and completing accurate/on-target throws to each base.
What you need to bringAny equipment necessary for defensive/outfield/baseball work including their glove, cleats for running on grass, water for hydration.
What I can bringBag of baseballs, cones for drills, extra baseball gloves if needed.
