About your baseball coach

Hi, my name is Coy and I love baseball. I’m 23 years old and I have been playing all my life and have been coaching for 4 years. My goal is to help students build confidence in their game and form good habits that will translate to success on the field. My goal is also to give students the tools and drills to improve their techniques without me so they can really improve.

Coy was very patient with my daughter and really helped her understand what she could do to improve on her own time. Every lesson was fun and informative, and she was so excited to play little league with what she learned. We have noticed big improvements in her confidence and performance.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe goal of the first session is to identify what the student is trying to improve, and identifying what they may not know needs to be improved. Mainly it’s to identify which areas of training to prioritize. If the student is mostly looking to improve their swing, the first lesson will be mostly tee work and soft toss. If the student is working on their fielding, it will be mostly ground balls and pop flies to identify what needs to be improved. If it’s pitching, it will mostly be working on their pitching motion at about half speed. For all areas, the goal is also to teach the student how to properly stretch and prepare to avoid injury
Lesson 11+Anything after 10 lessons will be used to perfect movements and adjust to in game situations.
Lesson 4-10These lessons will be used to refine the techniques the student has been working on and applying them in increasingly difficult situations to simulate real game speed.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2 and 3 will be spent doing drills and forming good habits that the student can do on their own time. The most important thing I can do for new players is give them the tools to build the muscle memory necessary for a better swing/throwing motion/fielding.
