Bentley Bristow
Our son Bentley has now completed 46 lessons with Coach Isaac, with about 60% focused on hitting and 40% on pitching and strength & conditioning. In the time he’s been working with Coach, we’ve seen incredible growth in both his skills and his confidence. His swing has completely transformed—he’s hitting the ball harder, more consistently, and with so much more confidence at the plate. His overall strength has improved tremendously, which has carried over into all areas of his game. While he hasn’t pitched in a live game just yet, his mechanics and ability on the mound have come a long way, and the progress is easy to see. What stands out the most is Bentley’s confidence. He steps into practices and lessons with excitement, and he’s starting to believe in himself as an athlete. Coach Isaac has had a huge impact not just on Bentley’s development as a player, but also on his love for the game—and we’re so grateful for that.
Blake Hanlon
Blake has been working with Coach Isaac for close to 40 lessons, focusing on hitting, pitching, and strength & conditioning. The growth he’s made in such a short time has been incredible to watch. When he first started, Blake couldn’t pitch at all. Now, he’s become his club team’s best pitcher—his consistency on the mound is something you usually see from kids twice his age. He’s turned into a strike-throwing machine with confidence every time he takes the ball. At the plate, Blake’s development has been just as impressive. At only 8 years old, he’s already hitting the ball 140 feet with an exit velocity of 52 mph. His strength, swing, and confidence continue to grow with each session. Coach Isaac has brought out the best in Blake and helped him reach levels we didn’t think were possible at his age. We’re excited to see where his hard work and training will take him next.
Matthew Barbosa
Matthew has been training with Coach Isaac in both catching and hitting, and the progress he’s made in a short amount of time has been incredible. His skill set behind the plate has improved dramatically—he’s grown into the team’s best catcher, showing confidence, leadership, and strong fundamentals every time he’s back there. At the plate, Matthew has quickly established himself as one of the top two hitters on his team. His swing has become more powerful and consistent, and his approach at the plate shows how much his confidence has grown. Working with Coach Isaac has taken Matthew’s game to another level. He’s developed into one of the most important players on his team, and we’re excited to see how much further he can go.
Manu Muñoz
Since Manu started training with Coach Isaac, the transformation has been night and day. He’s developed into an All-Star catcher, and the difference in his skills and confidence is unbelievable. Manu regularly plays up an age level, often competing with and against kids two years older than him—and yet he’s his team’s number one catcher. What has stood out to us most is not only the physical development, but also the mental side of the game. Coach Isaac has given Manu a level of confidence he’s never had before, teaching him how to think like a catcher and approach the game with composure. As parents, we’ve seen such a positive change in Manu both on and off the field, and we can’t thank Coach Isaac enough for the role he’s played in our son’s growth.
Connor Alvarez
When we first brought Connor to Coach Isaac, it was for catching lessons. From day one, Coach focused on building his foundation as a catcher, and we’ve seen huge progress. Connor’s receiving, blocking, and overall presence behind the plate have really come a long way—he’s starting to develop into a serious catcher with the tools and confidence to grow at the position. On top of that, Connor’s hitting has taken off. A year ago, his exit velocity was in the high 70s, and now he’s consistently in the low to mid 80s, with a peak of 87 mph off the HitTrax. More importantly, he’s not just showing it in the cage—he’s putting it together on the field, hitting with power and confidence in real games. Coach Isaac has been a huge part of Connor’s development both as a catcher and a hitter. The difference we’ve seen over the past year has been incredible, and we’re excited to see where his hard work and training will take him
Wyatt McCamnond
When Wyatt first started training with Coach Isaac, he was his team’s third-string catcher midway through the season. With consistent work, that quickly changed. By the end of the season, Wyatt had developed into the team’s best catcher—both in skill and confidence behind the plate. One of the highlights for us as parents was watching him finish his last tournament by throwing out seven runners in a single weekend. That was a turning point, showing just how far he had come with his training. Coach Isaac’s ability to bring out the best in Wyatt as a catcher has been incredible. The growth in his skills, his confidence, and his love for catching has been night and day, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson usually consists of me introducing myself and what my expectations are of the athlete, going over basic warm ups and then getting a general understanding of what the skill level is of the student. I run the student through an assessment that consists of throwing, hitting and fielding.
Lesson 11+At this stage we can really focus on one thing per session if this is what the student wants. Hitting should be dry swings and going over technique, tee work, flips, front toss and then followed by pitching machine if we get to that point.
Lesson 4-10And this point the student should have a better understanding of what to expect from myself. Warm ups should be memorized by now and we should be moving through them rather quickly to get to training. Tee work, fielding and catching techniques are all things I go over if that is what the student is needing.
Lesson 2-3Once I have a better understanding of what the student is capable of, I start to focus on their weaknesses and help teach them the fundamentals. For example I go over how to properly warm up for throwing, and then begin correcting form on any and all aspects of the game.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is about evaluation and foundation. I start by assessing the player’s mechanics in hitting, pitching, and/or fielding, depending on their position focus. I run them through live reps, short drills, and movement screenings to identify strengths and areas of improvement. From there, I introduce a few targeted advanced drills (such as weighted ball work for arm strength, exit velocity tracking for hitters, or advanced framing and blocking for catchers). The goal is to build trust, set expectations, and create a personalized development plan.
Lesson 11+Once the foundation and progress are in place, the focus shifts to elite-level development and in-game application. • Advanced Strategies: Pitch sequencing, reading pitchers/hitters, situational awareness. • Mental Training: Confidence building, routines, and visualization for pressure moments. • High-Level Metrics: Continued velocity/exit velo tracking, endurance testing, and competitive scrimmage-style training. At this stage, players should expect to feel confident applying advanced skills consistently during competition and developing the mindset of a high-level athlete.
Lesson 4-10This phase is about growth through progressive overload and game simulation. • Game-like Situations: Facing higher velocity, situational hitting (two-strike approach, hitting opposite field), defensive situational work. • Strength & Conditioning: Adding explosive speed/agility training and baseball-specific strength work. • Performance Tracking: Monitoring exit velocity, pop time, pitching velocity, and reaction times weekly. Players will notice improved performance not only in practice but in live game environments.
Lesson 2-3These sessions focus on establishing consistency in fundamentals at an advanced level. • Hitters: Refine swing path, separation, and timing using live pitch and machine work. Incorporate exit velocity and launch angle tracking with tools like HitTrax. • Pitchers: Emphasize lower-half mechanics, balance, and advanced pitch grips. Start arm care and recovery routines. • Catchers: Focus on receiving with resistance bands, rapid-fire blocking drills, and throw-downs for pop-time improvement. Players can expect structured drills, video analysis, and measurable feedback.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen I work with kids, I keep the lessons fun, positive, and full of energy. At this age, the focus is on building a strong foundation in baseball fundamentals — throwing, catching, hitting, footwork, and coordination — while also developing athleticism through games and drills. I use creative challenges (relay races, target games, small competitions) to keep them engaged, while teaching proper mechanics in a way that’s easy to understand. The goal is to help them love the game, build confidence, and develop habits that will carry over as they get older.

Working with teenagersWith teenagers, I balance skill development with performance training. At this stage, players are ready for more advanced instruction, so I break down mechanics in detail, introduce higher-level drills, and hold them accountable to consistent effort and execution. I also integrate strength and conditioning, speed, agility, and mobility work that supports their baseball performance. Sessions include video analysis, measurable progress tracking (exit velocity, pitching velocity, pop times), and mental skills like focus, discipline, and preparing for competition. The goal is to prepare them to perform at a high level in games, tryouts, and eventually higher levels of baseball.
