Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson I focus on getting to know the player. See their understanding of basic baseball skills & comfort level with what they are interested in learning/honing.
Lesson 11+Continue practicing and improving. Have conversations about areas of interest and opportunities for growth.
Lesson 4-10Putting what the player has learned to use. Forming their instincts and muscle memory. Training them to understand how their eyes and hands work together.
Lesson 2-3We will focus on repetition, seeing the consistency level of the player & identifying areas of improvement.
Youth players
Working with kidsWith kids it’s extremely important to build rapport and comfort, making them feel they have someone they can trust seeking to break their potential free. I want the kids to feel motivated, excited, and confident when they play. Not just when they’re training, but on the baseball field as well.
Working with teenagersTeenagers are at a crucial stage where they start identifying their strengths and weaknesses. My goal is to erase their weaknesses and substitute them with confidence. Teach them that failure is just a learning opportunity, and that they absolutely can accomplish anything with hard/smart work & determination.
What you need to bringStudents should bring a bat, a glove, sunglasses, and a hat. They should dress comfortably and bring water or Gatorade.
