About your baseball coach
My name is Justin OConner. In 2010 I was Indiana Mr. Baseball, IN Gatorade Player of the Year, AFLAC All American (best tools), and was drafted in the 1st round 31st overall by the Tampa Bay Rays. Made multiple Minor League all star teams, the 40 man roster with the Rays, and won a AAA national title throughout my career. I've been mentoring younger players for the last 10 years. I have fostered a love for baseball in players of all levels. My experience shapes a unique coaching style. Let me help you elevate your game!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will include a video analysis. We’ll hit to see where you are at mechanically. Talk about what I see in your swing and where you can improve. Then give you drills to fix your swing deficiencies
Lesson 11+Baseball is a game of repetition. Getting better never stops. Major league players to this day are still working to get better. We won’t be any different. When the player gets more confident and understands the physical sequences we can get more and more into the mental side of the game and work on mental approaches for multiple game situations
Lesson 4-10Once the drills are mastered on tee work and front toss we can move to overhand bp. Still building upon the progress from previous lessons and even moving onto the machine for faster speeds
Lesson 2-3After the first lesson and video analysis we’ll get to work with designated drills for swing deficiencies found in initial lesson. Tee work, front toss
