Beginner training plan
Your first lessonGoal: Get to know the player, assess their current skill level, and introduce basic mechanics. • Warm-up and dynamic stretching • Light catch to observe throwing mechanics • Basic hitting stance & swing mechanics (tee work) • Fielding fundamentals: ready position, footwork, glove positioning • Mental check-in: baseball goals and what they enjoy most • Homework: mirror drills for swing, 10-min throwing form practice
Lesson 11+Goal: Hone strengths, address weaknesses, and build a confident, game-ready player. • Personalized plans based on progress • Simulated at-bats and fielding situations • Strength and agility integration (age-appropriate) • Mental game deep dive: routines, breathing, handling pressure • Video analysis for swing/throwing if possible • Optional: introduce pitch tracking, bat speed metrics, etc. • Prep for tryouts, travel ball, or next-level goals
Lesson 4-10Goal: Sharpen core skills, introduce situational play, and improve athletic movement. • Position-specific development: IF/OF, catching footwork, etc. • Live reps: soft toss → front toss → short BP • Fielding with movement: backhands, forehands, glove transfers • Throwing on the move: crow hop, double play feeds • Base running basics: leads, rounding bases, situational awareness • Intro to baseball IQ: where to throw, how to back up, communication • Continue mental game: handling failure, pre-pitch mindset
Lesson 2-3Goal: Build a strong base in the three essential skill areas. • Throwing mechanics: grip, arm path, footwork, accuracy • Hitting drills: tee work, front toss, balance, and rhythm • Fielding: ground ball technique, glove work, short hops, footwork drills • Introduce simple drill routines they can practice at home • Begin reinforcing mental skills: focus, routine, confidence

What you need to bringStudents need to bring their own equipment like a glove , bat, cleats, batting gloves, helmet, and anything else they must use for baseball.

What I can bringI can bring my glove , my bat, some baseballs for any fielding drills. For hitting in a cage , I have a friend who has his own batting cage at his house we have access to, or we can hit at any facility I can get access to.
