Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThis first lesson is a way to gauge where the player’s current skill level is and for them to get a chance to get comfortable with me and my coaching style.
Lesson 11+At this point players should have improved/benefited in some way and this is about the point We would retest in some fashion based on the players goals (exit velocity, timed run, or any other metric) to assess where we are and reevaluate our goals moving forward.
Lesson 4-10These are where I have seen the improvements start to build up. Players are typically more trusting and more open to being uncomfortable, thus creating a great environment for learning.
Lesson 2-3These lessons are where I learn how the player learns and what they respond to the best. I typically spend a little more time talking during these lessons.
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with younger players I typically will focus more on basics and fundamentals, but it depends on the specific player. If they are more advanced, I have no problem teaching higher level baseball!
Working with teenagersI typically will tailor my coaching style specifically to the player, encouraging them to grow as players and people.
What you need to bringNormal practice clothes (shorts, shirt, hat)
All your gear (bat, glove, bag)
Bring baseball pants
Make sure to bring some water!
What I can bringI have buckets of baseballs, generator, hack attack, wagon, a net, a tee, and some assorted training gloves and bats.
