About your baseball coach

Baseball has always been more than just a game to me — it’s a craft. I’m very detail-oriented and take pride in teaching not only the fundamentals of the game but also the mental side that makes players successful. I believe baseball is as much about preparation, focus, and mindset as it is about mechanics and skill. My goal is to help players grow in all aspects, building confidence, discipline, and a deeper love for the game.

Aiden
My kid was nervous at first but he made him feel comfortable right away. Before he even started the lesson he sat with my son and got to know him. Now he’s excited to practice and has gotten way more confident.
Dylan
Great coach. My teenager said it’s the first time someone explained pitch selection in a way that actually made sense. He’s been more locked in ever sense.
Evan
I sat in on the first session just to see how my son would do, and ruben did a great job making him feel comfortable. He broke things down step by step and was really encouraging but still firm.
Jayden
He really helped me fix my swing and taught me how to stay calm in the box. He pushes me to be better and I’ve been hitting way better in games.
Brian
He points out the small things I didn’t notice in my swing and shows me how to fix them and how to feel the difference.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI observe the player’s swing, glove work, and pitching mechanics to evaluate their current skill level and identify areas for improvement.
Lesson 11+We fine-tune the details, such as quicker hands at the plate, faster transfers on ground balls, and advanced pitching skills like command, pitch sequencing and game strategy, and mental approach on the mound.
Lesson 4-10Training shifts to faster-paced drills and live reps. This includes hitting against live pitching, defensive work, and pitching practice that emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and proper mechanics.
Lesson 2-3We break down their swing, glove work, and pitching delivery, focusing on the basics of movement, mechanics, and building a strong foundation.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI evaluate the player’s swing, glove work, and pitching mechanics with a focus on consistency, timing, and overall form.
Lesson 11+We fine-tune advanced details: pitch sequencing and selection (what pitch to throw and when), hitting approach and discipline at the plate, and defensive decision-making under pressure. The goal is to prepare players for competitive, in-game performance.
Lesson 4-10Training becomes more game-like. Hitting includes situational drills, live reps, and adjusting to different pitch speeds and locations. Defensive work focuses on range, footwork, and quicker transfers. Pitchers work on accuracy, pitch control, and introducing off-speed pitches with proper mechanics.
Lesson 2-3We sharpen mechanics by correcting small flaws in their swing, fielding, and pitching delivery. Emphasis is on body control, rhythm, and repeatability.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids, I focus on the fundamentals—teaching proper grip, stance, swing basics, throwing mechanics, and glove work. Lessons are kept fun, positive, and engaging with simple drills and games so young players build confidence, enjoy the process, and develop a solid foundation for the future.

Working with teenagersWith teenagers, the focus shifts to refining mechanics and removing bad habits while also teaching the mental side of baseball. This includes pitch selection, situational hitting, defensive decision-making, and building a disciplined approach to the game. Training becomes more game-like with faster-paced drills, live reps, and strategy work designed to prepare them for higher levels of competition.

What you need to bringStudents only need to bring their glove and bat.

What I can bringI provide a training net, baseballs, and a tee, along with additional equipment needed for drills.
