Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWhat is your strengths and weaknesses? How can I help you achieve future goals? What is your self evaluation on letting the last past stay in the past and moving to the next opportunity with a fresh mindset? Howâs your communication skills among your peers?
Lesson 11+We have more conversations such as, what did you feel and how can you make that mechanical change without someone telling you?
Lesson 4-10Reviewing the homework I sent home from the week before and building on that. Start reviewing in game highlights to see what we arenât doing right when our mind is off of specific mechanics.
Lesson 2-3Start making changes that are going to feel uncomfortable. Building good muscle memory and breaking bad habits.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonHow to throw and field with INTENT. Using advanced baseball IQ to help me be a step ahead. Finding the swing path or hitting mechanics to know where to play. Using my whole body to unlock my full potential.
Lesson 11+Many advanced players struggle with the mental side due to them always have more gifted talent. With that being said, when they struggle they donât know how to cope with that because itâs not normal. That where I can really come in and be what I call the âbaseball therapistâ and teach them to overcome failure more often. Baseball being a game of failure, you have to be able to have short memory and move on the next opportunity that arises.
Lesson 4-10What does your body feel like when you do it this way? When your body doesnât feel like that, thatâs a clue youâre not doing it right. You should feel the difference and make adjustments to unlock that potential.
Lesson 2-3Conversations such as, can you feel the difference and do you feel more athletic and powerful? Proper mechanical changes to bring out full potential.
Youth players
Working with kidsWe work on a lot of proper mechanics and come up with silly phrases and ideas to get them to remember the concepts. A lot of the development part happens at home due to them not being with me but once to twice a week. I send home a lot of homework to work on building good muscle memory.
Working with teenagersWe will work a lot on proper mechanics and good positioning to be successful. I will introduce and emphasize baseball IQ so we can perform at the highest level of that specific player. A lot of the development part happens at home when I send home drills and other homework to build good muscle memory. We will also work on the mental side such as how to cope with failure and let the past be behind us. Baseball being a game of failure will beat you down if you let it, so the biggest thing with failure is learn from it and try not to make the same mistake again.
