About your baseball coach
I have pitched in professional baseball for 16 years and have parts of 5 years in the Major Leagues. During that time I’ve played for 13 MLB organizations where I have played in the Big Leagues with 8 different teams such as the Dodgers, Padres, Diamondbacks, Astros, Mariners, Orioles, Red Sox and the Athletics. I became the first South African born player to pitch in the Major leagues. I have a tons of experience to share in both the mechanical and mental part of pitching.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonChat to the player about their goals and what they want to get better at. Watch their warm-up and how they throw to understand what areas need improving. I will also talk to them about how they mentally think about pitching and the throw.
Lesson 2-3Once we have established what areas need some work, we will start doing drills and working on mental cues to help them start being able to repeat the fixes we are trying to make.
Lesson 4-10At this point we will have a good foundation on what we need to focus on while pitching. From here we can start adding small pieces to help the player grow physically on the mound as well as mentally. I will start working on having the right mindset as pitcher when things are not going our way.
Lesson 11+We can start working on adding new pitchers to their arsenal and working on gaining velocity with accuracy.
