Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI focus on making the player feel comfortable and excited to learn. I start with a quick conversation to understand their experience, goals, and comfort level. Then I introduce basic ball-handling, footwork, and layup drills. I keep it simple and fun to build confidence early and make sure they leave wanting to come back. ☺️
Lesson 11+At this stage, we train like real players. I introduce more advanced drills like pick-and-roll reads, weak-hand development, off-ball movement, conditioning with skill work, and more competitive play. Sessions become more tailored to the player’s position and goals, with regular feedback and challenges to push them further.
Lesson 4-10Now we build on the basics with more intensity. Players can expect to work on shooting consistency, live-ball handling, finishing under pressure, help-side defense, and basic offensive/defensive concepts (like spacing and closeouts)
Lesson 2-3We review the fundamentals from lesson one and begin adding structure — stationary dribbling, proper shooting form, defensive stance, and basic passing. I introduce light 1-on-1 or cone drills to develop reactions and movement. Focus is still on repetition, footwork, and getting a feel for the game.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonIn the first session, I evaluate the player’s current skill level, basketball IQ, and conditioning. We go through advanced drills like combo dribble sequences, shooting off movement, and defensive footwork to get a baseline. I ask questions during drills to check how they process the game and make decisions. From there, I customize the rest of the plan based on their goals and strengths/weaknesses.
Lesson 11+At this stage, we’re sharpening the edges. I simulate in-game situations, scout scenarios, and even prepare them for showcases or tryouts if needed. Everything is tailored to their goals (e.g., varsity, college, pro). We film, break down footage, set weekly targets, and develop a routine that goes beyond training — recovery, mindset, and prep. It’s not just training; it’s preparation for the next level.
Lesson 4-10We train like it’s game speed. These sessions include conditioning with skill work, playing through fatigue, and mastering position-specific moves (e.g., floaters, jab/counters, pick-and-roll reads). I push their limits with advanced footwork, off-ball movement, and live competitive drills. I expect them to show leadership, focus, and growth in every session
Lesson 2-3We get right into refining details — foot placement on jump shots, angles off ball screens, changing pace, and finishing through contact. I start correcting habits and introducing intensity. I also bring in reaction-based drills and mental reps (reading help defense, decision-making under pressure).

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen I work with kids, I keep the lessons fun, high-energy, and easy to follow. I use games and simple drills to teach the basics like dribbling, passing, and layups. I give lots of encouragement and focus on building confidence, coordination, and a love for the game.

Working with teenagersWith teenagers, I raise the intensity and expectations. I still focus on fundamentals, but I also introduce team concepts, conditioning, and real game situations. I challenge them to push themselves while staying positive and supportive. I also talk about discipline, mindset, and how to become coachable and consistent.

What you need to bringJust bring that energy simple as that 🔥

What I can bringI will have all the equipment needed for training.
