Honestly, I think the lesson with Daryl was quite effective. His focus on footwork really stood out as a key skill in my game. Though I still need to work on my shooting, the coaching gave me some clear ideas on how to improve, and I’m hopeful that future lessons will build on this. Still, I feel like with a bit more emphasis on shooting drills, I could get closer to where I want to be. I’d be interested in trying another lesson with Daryl to see how much I can improve.

I especially enjoyed how Daryl pushed me to be my best during the lesson. The session really motivated me to improve and gave me a great challenge. If you want to step up your game and tackle new skills, I recommend trying Daryl’s basketball lessons. They’re an energizing way to grow your abilities and boost confidence on the court. 🏀

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI always start with ballhandling and shooting. I have a number of drills I will run to gauge where the player is for future sessions that will at times push them but I want them to enjoy what we're doing in the first session. Stationary and movement ballhalding Triple threat form shooting Catch and shoot form shooting Layups
Lesson 11+Now that we have a routine, I am making sure that the fundamentals are becoming solid while also continuing to challenge them mentally. The mental aspect is the biggest part of success, not just being able to perform the moves but having the confidence to believe in the work they've put in.
Lesson 4-10Once we're into our fourth session, I am now working on building, maintaining, and maximizing the core fundamentals of the player while recognizing and leading them towards their next steps in development.
Lesson 2-3We will continue to build our foundation by going over our first session work with a slightly smaller amount and then we will add bricks by once again challenging the player with a new drill or something they might not yet be comfortable with. Triple threat into jab steps Rip thru layups

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonI will always start my sessions the same way, with a ballhandling warmup routine. For more advanced players a will tweak the routine based on skill. We will then work on fundamental space creating into shots and finishing around the rim. I will be assessing while training to see where we need to focus on, what needs polishing, what can be added, etc.
Lesson 11+Once we have our set routine down, I will now usually throw in a drill they haven't seen yet or a burnout session where I'm challenging them to perform almost to failure. If they can withstand the work in session, the game situation should become way easier physically and mentally.
Lesson 4-10By the time we get into the 4th training, the player should know what to expect and as always I will be challenging their stamina as much as their skill and mindset. Repetition of details is the key to consistency and confidence in game situations.
Lesson 2-3Fundamentals are my core for everything as well as conditioning. I will be challenging the players physically and mentally by keeping the trainings at a pace they aren't used to while working on parts of their game that they might feel are the weakest.

Youth players
Working with kidsI will always adjust my sessions based on the current skill set of the player.

Working with teenagersI will always adjust my sessions based on the current skill set of the player.

What you need to bringHaving your own ball is preferred

What I can bringI have basketballs, cones, jump rope, heavy ball, etc.
