David Baughman
Taught me everything I know about basketball in such a small time frame. Perfect balance of being understanding and being tough. Definitely who you want to go to if you want a breakdown of your overrall skill.
Zoila Xena
Zoila is a beginner who trained with JaeQuan to a few times since she became interested in basketball. Her form is already better and she's moving gracefully with the ball!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will include my "Timed Skill Challenge" so we can get an understanding of how developed you are in basketball. Next, we will complete a short assessment so we can discuss what type of player you would like to be. Basic drills include : ball handling drills , Mikan drills, passing drills, defensive slides, conditioning and shooting drills.
Lesson 11+Fundamentals should be shown in all drills at a basic level. Advanced skills and movements should be peaking through. We will do another Timed Skill Challenge and analyze how far your game has come which will allow us to focus on reaching new levels.
Lesson 4-10At this point we will still be focusing on fundamentals but slowly adding in more complex skill work to help create the foundation needed to actually push your skills ahead. We will add in more drills which included timed shooting drills, form shooting, ladder drills, cone drills and better conditioning.
Lesson 2-3After the analysis from the challenge is broken down we will begin to work on fundamentals that key to your specific development. Basic drills include : ball handling drills , Mikan drills, passing drills, defensive slides, conditioning and shooting drills.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWe begin with the Timed Skill Challenge to get an understanding of how skilled a player is and what we need to work on. The rest of the lesson will be spent analyzing the information from the challenge and fundamental drills like Mikan and Spot shooting.
Lesson 11+At this point the foundation is set and we will continue to build the foundation with more complex drills. Depending on the age we will add weight or weighted balls to the workouts. Offensive and defensive schemes the students will face will be apart of the lessons plus various other game/team dependent variables.
Lesson 4-10Around this time we will still work on the weaknesses but include them into the overrall game. During this time we will discuss roles on teams , goals for development and shape the workout around those guidelines.
Lesson 2-3With the information from the first lesson we will continue to work the biggest flaws or weakness in the students game through these lessons. For example , if a player struggles with using their off hand we will spend these lessons doing off hand passing drills , off hand layup drills and dribbling drills.

Youth players
Working with kidsMy lesson with kids are about having fun. Of course the development of the child is important but its even more important to make sure the child is having fun through this developmental process.

Working with teenagersWhen working with teens , its a little more discipline used to set the tone that we are here to work but having fun is still the ultimate goal.

What you need to bringBasketball shoes and if you prefer your own basketball bring that too.

What I can bringAgility ladders, parachute , resistance bands , weight vest , basketball , weighted basketball.
