Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first Lesson will be form shooting and defensive slides. I really want to see what basics they know and what they don’t know. This will help me get a good grasp of that and where to start.
Lesson 4-10This is adding foot work, and post work into the workouts. Learning how to take advantage of a smaller or equal height defender and to also take contact of said defenders. The goal here is to learn how to find and get easy buckets and attacking winning matchups.
Lesson 2-3This is where I will focus on set shooting, smart contesting on jump shots and some basic dribbling skills. The goal here is to have a way to stay on the court. If you can hit open shots and play solid defense, there will always be a place on the court for you.
Youth players
Working with kidsI have taught and trained kids in the past. I would mostly work on form shooting and basic defense concepts. There is a lack of good defenders in current sports, so this skill would help set your child apart. I would also teach taller kids to use there height efficiently. This would help them with everyday tasks along with basketball.
