About your basketball coach
As a former collegiate basketball player with 3 Sweet 16 and Elite 8 appearances, a 4-year starter, and 3-year team captain, I am passionate about coaching and player development. I focus on helping athletes build their skills while fostering teamwork, discipline, and a love for the game. With experience running my own basketball camps and clinics, I’m dedicated to creating a positive and challenging environment for players to grow both on and off the court.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonGet to know each player’s strengths and areas for improvement. Assess their skills through light drills in shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense, and engage in one-on-one conversations to understand their basketball journey.
Lesson 11+Introduce game strategies and the "why" behind each skill to enhance basketball IQ.
Lesson 4-10Build on foundational skills and introduce counters for common moves while expanding offensive and defensive knowledge. Add shooting variations like catch-and-shoot and shooting off the dribble. Increase the complexity of ball-handling drills, and introduce defensive principles like help defense. Teach offensive moves (jab step, hesitation) and counters for each move.
Lesson 2-3Establish solid basketball fundamentals by focusing on footwork, shooting form, ball-handling, and defensive positioning. Introduce basic footwork drills, shooting techniques, and ball-handling exercises. Emphasize proper stance, balance, and control. Teach the basics of individual defense and positioning.
