With over 8 years of experience on the court, I'm dedicated to improving players of all skill levels. I design personalized programs tailored to each player, ensuring steady growth in skill development and strategy. Beginner training plan
Your first lesson- work on ball control(dribbling drills: right hand, left hand, cross over)
- teach layup with the focus on footwork
- practice shot (focus on teaching form under the basket and shooting off the backboard)
- teach defensive stance
Lesson 11+- dribbling drill around defender cones (crossover, behind the back, between the legs, and behind the back cross over)
- speed up layups, add reverse layups
- lane slides drill
- advance to shooting mid range/threes.
- boxout/rebounding drill
Lesson 4-10- teach between the legs and behind the back dribbling
- practice shooting free throws/from mid range
- foot fire drill
- teach boxing out drill
- practice rebounding
Lesson 2-3- dribble drill (full cross overs at each cone, and then dribbles with opposite hand to the next cone)
- practice layup on both sides
- teach pivoting footwork and ball placement
- practice shooting under the basket/advance to around the key
What you need to bringA water bottle, running or basketball shoes, and an extra basketball if they have one.
