I started using coach Salter’s a little over six months ago, and I have seen so much improvement in my 14-year-old and 10-year-old basketball skills. I’ve used other coaches and each Of them have taught my kids, good skills, but none of them have taught my kids the ball handling skills that this coach has provided for my kids. Coach Salters takes the time to truly work with my kids individually at a price that I can afford. I highly recommend using Coach Salters, you won’t regret it!

Ryan is a great coach giving me real game knowledge and how to respond to all situations in game. Definitely worth it! I learn something each session. I appreciate everything he has done to help me get better as a player.

Coach Ryan has an incredible knack for breaking down complex techniques into simple, easy-to-understand steps. His enthusiasm for the game is contagious, and he always pushed me to reach my full potential. He took the time to understand my strengths and weaknesses.

Coach Ryan Salter has been an incredible asset to my son's basketball development. Not only has he helped my son with the fundamentals of the game, but he has also excelled in teaching situational analysis. Coach Salter's approach is both comprehensive and personalized, focusing on specific techniques and moves tailored to how the defense is playing.

We went through game film and Coach Salter identifies areas for improvement and provides targeted recommendations. He then incorporates these insights into practice sessions, ensuring my son is well-prepared for real-game scenarios.

Coach Salter's dedication, expertise, and innovative coaching style make him an outstanding mentor. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to elevate their basketball skills.

If you are looking for a Coach that cares about your child and wants to work on Skills instead of just running drills up and down the court for an hour, then call Coach Ryan! He actually evaluates your child’s skill level and works on improving their strengths and building on the weaknesses. You won’t be disappointed!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI will always discuss what the parent thinks that their child needs to work on. Once in the session I will see the child’s strong points and weaknesses and help them build on each hit spending more time on the weaknesses.
Lesson 11+At this stage (sometimes earlier depending on the player) I will begin to play a little bit tougher defense so that they can see and understand how things will be during a game.
Lesson 4-10As they become more and more comfortable I will begin to play shadow defense so they can understand why they are doing certain movements or when to do the certain things in different situations.
Lesson 2-3Now that I know what they need to work on, I will create drills that focus on these things. While also working on others things as well that are used in each session such as ball handling and shooting.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonFor advance players they mostly want to get in reps and more fine tuning of the skills the already have. I will talk to them about what they want to work on before every session and come up with drills and scenarios where I will play defense. First shadowing and then playing more aggressive defense in different scenarios.
Lesson 11+Most sessions for advanced athletes will be formed on the way that is described in the first lesson section.
Lesson 4-10Most sessions for advanced athletes will be formed on the way that is described in the first lesson section.
Lesson 2-3Similar to above.

Youth players
Working with kidsI will always discuss what the parent thinks that their child needs to work on. Once in the session I will see the child’s strengths and weaknesses and help them build on each of these but focusing more on the weaknesses.

Working with teenagersI organize these practices similarly to the ones above. As I get to know players and tendencies I’ll set the session up based on their style of play as well as still working on weaknesses.
