Beginner training plan
Your first lessonEvery player is different. Therefore, I will start my first lesson with basic layup drills, passing, shooting, dribbling, and defense. That way I can get a feel of the type of player they are and where their weaknesses are at.
Lesson 11+Using everything we learned and applying it to games. For example, if we are focusing on shooting, you will have to make a certain amount of shots at different spots on the court in a certain amount of time.
Lesson 4-10Hard core drills that focus on how to be efficient in a game like setting. I will implement defense and add props to the drills to make them more difficult and challenging.
Lesson 2-3Hard core drills that focus on a specific skill set and conditioning.
What you need to bringMust have proper attire (Basketaball shoes, shorts and a t-shirt). Bring a basketball, 2 bottles of water, pen/pencil and paper.
