Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWarm up with 3 rounds of jump rope. I’ll show you how to properly wrap your hands. Then start focusing on your punching technique with your jab hand. We’ll also start some basic footwork and additional punches to work perfect. We’ll go thru the proper mechanics of punching and where your feet, hips, hands and eyes should be. And then we will continue to build off the first lesson.
Lesson 11+The process will continue with hitting the bag and mitts with combos, head movements, foot movements, proper positioning for hitting multiple areas of the opponents head and body. Add in weights to get stronger punches and stronger legs and a stronger core. We’ll start mimicking professional boxers signature punches and body movements to add to your arsenal of punches and defensive maneuvering. And when you are ready and I agree, we will ( if you choose) enter you into your first amateur boxing match. We can continue in amateur boxing until your ready for your first professional boxing match. The sky is the limit with how far you can go.
Lesson 4-10We continue to get better at wrapping hands and skip rope faster. We will continue to work on technique for your jab, cross and hooks and add in upper cuts. Once proper technique is achieved we will punch the ficus mitts with combos of the punches learned. We will continue to learn head movements, foot movements, defensive techniques, and offensive techniques.
Lesson 2-3Wrap hands again. Jump rope for 3 rounds. Then We will learn proper form of your left and right hooks. Placement of your body when throwing And also learn proper technique for your power hand cross.

Youth players
Working with kidsBoxing takes discipline. Almost more discipline than many other sports. It’s a mind game that can be very taxing but also very rewarding. If you think your kid will do well and can focus, then let’s start them in boxing.

Working with teenagersBoxing is not a team sport. While you have a team of coaches and a cut man in your corner, you are the only one to blame if you lose. Boxing is a mental game as much as it is a physical game. It takes lots of hours of practice in the gym to get really good at Boxing. Boxing is great for self esteem if your lacking it and will boost your teenagers confidence where ever they go. It’s physically and mentally a very tough sport. With only MMA, kickboxing and wrestling that are similar in the same arena. Great for releasing extra energy, gaining confidence, and getting into top tier shape.

What you need to bringHand wraps and boxing gloves. If you don’t have either, I have some you can borrow but you will want to purchase your own gear. I can point you in the right direction.

What I can bringJump rope, focus mitts, multiple punching bags, body gear, music and round bell.
