About your dance coach

Based in Los Angeles, CA, I am a dedicated dancer, choreographer, and instructor. My love for dance ignited in 2015 when I was accepted into the Eastland Fairfield Performing Arts Program in Reynoldsburg, OH, immersing myself in Ballet, Jazz, Ballroom, Tap, and Theatre during my high school years. Furthering my education, I pursued a B.A. in Dance with a Business Cognate at The University of Akron. My passion for dance extended beyond academia as I began teaching Hip Hop and Dance Fitness at local studios, including The Institute and The Recreation Center. Presently, I am a dance instructor at KIPP Academy of Innovation in East LA, and CreateNow. while also focusing on building my presence on social media. My ultimate dream is to inspire the youth through the transformative art of dance and continuously evolve as an artist by exploring diverse dance foundations to broaden my artistic horizons.

Ms. Davis is very skilled and knowledgeable in a diverse range of dance genres! I’m used to learning KPop and street style from her but she recently taught me some modern contemporary dance! I’ve never danced contemporary before, so I was nervous, but Ms. Davis was super patient with me and guided me along as she taught the piece. In the end, I highly recommend Ms. Davis for her skill, kind personality, and of course her humor!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonMy first lesson will be me getting a basic understanding of how the individual understands movement. What does the student already know, what does the student need/want to work on?
Lesson 11+Learning how to perform. We will focus on feeling the music and interpreting the music in a way that resonates through dance. Are you happy? Are you sad? Do you feel strong? And what does that look like?
Lesson 4-10We will start incorporating choreography. Learning how to connect movement based on the fundamentals that’s already been covered.
Lesson 2-3Based on the information I received from the previous lesson, we will start with the basics. Such as, grooves, bounces, footwork, etc.. and putting movements to the music.
What you need to bringWear comfortable clothing. Anything thats easy to move in and makes you feel good. Also bring water
