Your first lessonAsk the student questions and have them play different grooves and rhythms on the drums to get an idea of their skill level and what the best things to start working in would be.
Lesson 11+Assess the progress that has been made from working on the exercises. Have a discussion with the student to see if the goals were met. Does the student need more time to work on reaching these goals? Or have the goals been achieve and is it now time to establish new goals?
Lesson 4-10Drill the exercises to reach the established goals.
Lesson 2-3Collaborate with the student to figure out specific goals for drumming, and then create exercises that will correspond to the specific goals.
