Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn the first session, I focus on fundamentals and assessment. I start by introducing myself and setting expectations for training. Then, I evaluate the athletes current skill level through basic drills: Footwork & Agility: Ladder drills to assess coordination and movement. Ball Handling & Control: Basic catching, throwing, or hand-off drills. Stance & Form: Teaching proper athletic stance and positioning. Conditioning Check: Light speed and endurance exercises to gauge fitness. I also discuss their goals and what they want to improve on, so we can tailor the training to their needs.
Lesson 11+Lesson 11-15: Increased intensity in drills to improve speed, strength, and endurance. Film study to analyze technique and game situations. Position-specific mastery, working on advanced footwork and mechanics. Lesson 16-20: Football IQ Development: Understanding playbooks, recognizing defenses, and making quick decisions. Game Scenarios: Simulating real-game situations (2-minute drills, goal-line stands, third-down conversions). Competitive Drills: 1v1 matchups, small-group competitions, and controlled scrimmages. Lesson 20+ (Ongoing Training): Personalized training based on strengths and weaknesses. Leadership and mindset coaching to develop confidence. College recruiting guidance (if applicable).
