Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson would be a tryout like event to allow me to see where each player is at personally. Also having a conversation about the goals and wanted outcomes from this training.
Lesson 11+After 10 lessons a baseline is truly established. It will allow me to understands where each athlete needs to improve personally. These lessons will be based on specially on the athletes needs of improvement.
Lesson 4-10Lessons 3-4 is where we can start implementing game like reads allowing athletes to be athletes and make decisions. Still building of the fundamentals but allowing each athlete to react like an athlete should and make game time decisions.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2-3 are gonna be super basic fundamental focused. Rehearsing fundamentals ensuring every athlete fully understands there role in the game. As well as getting them set up correctly to make plays. Focusing on things like stance and eye control.
Youth players
Working with kidsWith kids I keep all my lessons competition based and short. Really getting a hold of the short attention span and allowing kids to truly enjoy the game while learning. I believe this is the perfect way to introduce the competitive culture that becomes a must later on in athletes lives. All lessons for kids will be fundamental focused.
