Beginner training plan
Your first lessonMy first lesson plan is to always see how the athlete moves, and teach them essential movement patterns such as running technique, deceleration technique, etc. so that we can build upon that foundation. I always try to make the first session simple yet fun and get to learn who my athlete is as a person.
Mock plan:
*Dynamic stretch
*Ladder drills
*Power development block: Jumping & Throwing
*Shuffle and change of direction drill
*Shuffle to sprint drill
* Competitive drill involving movement pattern: Tennis ball shuffle catch
Lesson 11+From Lexington on our focus can be refining our foundational movement patterns, as well as addressing current endgame, struggles or challenges, and areas of improvement.
Lesson 4-10Athlete can expect to begin to hone in on the specific skills that they need and want to improve that with drills that directly correlate to own field movements. In these lessons we can now begin to combine essential movement patterns to create fluid on field movements.
Lesson 2-3By lesson two and three, we are working on repetition to of essential movement patterns required for their position to create a good foundation and good habits.
