About your football coach
Hey, I’m Donovan and I’ve played football for four years in high school and played a semester of flag football in college. I was also a football coach for a middle school football team. My coaching style is firm but fair. I like to focus on development and discipline. See where they’re at, what they need to improve on and then gradually increase the workload. I’d start with conditioning, body control/ footwork, and then transition into offensive and defensive drills.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson would be introductory. Tell them about myself and what I’ve done. Afterwards, have them stretch and then focuse most of the lesson time on cardio and finish off with body control and footwork.
Lesson 11+At this point, we then begin tackling and blocking drills with a tackling dummy and also recycle past lessons, but the difficulty would be increased.
Lesson 4-10During this time, they would be working on their defense as well learning the names of the routes, how to run them, memorizing their role in a playbook. Go over the rules of football. Teach them how to read a quarterback and play man/zone coverage.
Lesson 2-3After the first lesson, we’d transition into receiving drills and test their hand-eye coordination. If they had any fear of the ball coming towards them, it’s at this time that we would get rid of that fear.
