Hi, I’m Coach Leonardo! During our first session, my main goal is to get to know the player, understand their skill level, and build a foundation for future growth.
We’ll start with a warm-up and basic movement drills to get loose and ready. Then we’ll go through some fundamental football skills like proper stance, footwork, catching, throwing, or hand placement — depending on the player’s position and goals.
I’ll focus on teaching proper technique while keeping the session fun, positive, and encouraging. We’ll end with a short review, talk about what went well, and set simple goals for the next lesson.
My priority is helping every athlete feel confident, improve step-by-step, and enjoy the process of learning the game. 🏈
From lesson 11 and beyond, we’ll focus on taking all the fundamentals we’ve built and applying them at a game-speed level. Players will start working on consistency, confidence, and performance under pressure.
We’ll continue refining position-specific techniques — whether that’s throwing, catching, running routes, blocking, or tackling — and start introducing small competitive drills and real-game scenarios to simulate live play.
Each session will include:
• Technique refinement and repetition
• Game-speed decision making
• Strength, agility, and conditioning drills
• Confidence and leadership building
• Goal setting and ongoing progress tracking
By this stage, players should feel comfortable executing skills with control and confidence. My goal is to help them not only perform better on the field but also develop the mindset, discipline, and work ethic that make great athletes — and great people. 🏈
By lessons 4 through 10, players will start putting everything together. We’ll move beyond basic drills and begin working on game situations, position-specific techniques, and football IQ.
Each session will focus on:
• Advanced footwork and agility to improve speed and movement.
• Position-specific skill work (throwing accuracy, catching under pressure, blocking form, tackling fundamentals).
• Situational awareness — understanding plays, reading defenses, and making smart decisions.
• Conditioning and endurance training to build strength and stamina.
• Confidence and leadership, helping players apply what they’ve learned in practice to real game situations.
In lessons 2 and 3, we’ll start building on the fundamentals we covered in our first session. I’ll introduce more focused drills that develop footwork, balance, and coordination while reinforcing proper technique.
Depending on the player’s goals and position, we’ll work on:
• Route running and catching for skill players
• Ball handling and agility for running backs
• Throwing mechanics and decision-making for quarterbacks
• Basic defensive positioning and tackling form for defensive players
Each session will begin with a proper warm-up and end with a short review and feedback so the player knows what to practice on their own.
My goal is to help the athlete gain confidence, improve their understanding of the game, and start performing the fundamentals with consistency and control.
During our first session, I’ll evaluate the player’s current skill set, position strengths, and areas for improvement. We’ll run through position-specific drills, footwork tests, and speed/agility evaluations to identify focus areas. We’ll also set short-term and long-term goals for performance development.”
Lesson 11+
“At this stage, it’s all about mastering performance and preparing for real competition. We’ll simulate game scenarios, review film (if available), and fine-tune leadership, discipline, and execution. The goal is to elevate the player’s confidence, performance, and football intelligence to a higher level.”
Lessons 4 to 10
“Here we build consistency and game IQ. Players will train situational awareness — reading defenses, adjusting to coverages, executing plays efficiently, and communicating effectively. Strength and conditioning work is added to improve endurance and explosiveness.”
Lessons 2 and 3
“We’ll start sharpening fundamentals and introducing advanced-level drills — route precision, defensive reads, offensive timing, or special teams assignments depending on the player’s position. Focus is on improving reaction time, balance, and technique under game
