Beginner training plan
Your first lesson1. Welcome and warm up
Briefly explain what you’ll cover today
Light stretches for shoulders, backs, and leg legs
Let them roll a few pots or chip a ball just to get comfortable holding a club
2. Equipment and safety five minutes.
Show them a different clubs and their purposes
Explain basic safety, spacing awareness, and others, and where to stand
3. Grip 10 minutes.
Demonstrate the grip slowly, interlock, overlap or 10 finger choose one that feels natural for them
Use a funny analogy like shaking hands with the club
Let them practice holding in the club without swinging
4. Posture and stance 10 minutes.
Feet shoulder with apart knee slightly bent back straight, but relaxed
Weight balanced between the balls and heels of the feet
Club face square to the target
5. Half swing and contact 15 minutes.
Start with a short iron or wedge
Focus on making solid contact, not distance
Use tease at first to make it easier to strike the ball cleanly
6. Simple target game 10 minutes.
Set up short target like hula, hoop or cone and have them aim for it
Celebrate small successes to build confidence
7. Cool down and recap to five minutes.
Review what they learned, grip stance posture and making contact
Give them one simple drill to practice before the next lesson
We’ll keep the pace light and encouraging for the first lesson. The goal is to have fun plus fundamentals not perfect mechanics if they leave smiling want to come back I’ve succeeded.
Lesson 2-3Week 2 solid contact and swing basics
Goal get them comfortable with the game equipment and basic motion
Warm up five minutes of putting five minutes of chipping
Introduced half swings focus on balance and brushing the grass
Drills
Feet together drill for balance
Tee drill hit the ball off a low tee to encourage clean contact
Introduce alignment, use align, sticks, or clubs on the ground
Fun game target practice, aim for a 20 yard landing zone
Week 3 expanding the game
Goal admin irons, basic pitching, and Tee shots
Review short iron contact in alignment
Introduce pitching higher shots with a sandwich
Tee shot start with a hybrid or five wood before Driver
