Erick is a fantastic golf instructor and I enjoyed his course which was offered through Stanford University's Physical Wellness programs. Erick was very engaging and was willing to work towards identifying our strengths and weaknesses. He was great with communication and his course was very well structured. He had us practicing our putting, developing our full swing at the range, and improving our short game at the Stanford Golf Course. Moreover, he took the time to guide us through the golf course and provided us with guidance on the proper etiquette on the course so that we would be confident golfers. Erick is a really great coach and I would recommend him to my friends and family!

I had never even held a golf club when I started working with Erick. He helped me navigate through proper posture, technique, and even strategy when playing golf. Since I started learning from Erick four months ago, I have made strides in the game I couldn’t foresee. This is all to Erick’s credit: he’s genuine in his love for the game and thus deliberate with his advice. He works with you, for you — meaning he takes your goals and your skills to work with you where you are. I couldn’t have asked for a better coach to lay my foundation and love for the game!

I loved learning golf in the beginners class at Stanford with Coach Erick! He's extremely approachable and understanding! I usually am very nervous and harsh on myself when approaching new activities to but Coach Erick taught me to be kinder to myself and that it takes time to improve! He also provided great individual advice on how to improve my full swing, despite the class comprising of 15 students.

If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.

And if you simply want to reschedule your lesson, change the date and time, or adjust the number of students joining, we've got you covered there too. You can easily make these changes within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before your lesson starts.

About your golf coach

I hold a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an M.A. in Kinesiology from San Jose State University. My journey at Stanford began as a certified personal trainer at the National Accelerator Laboratory (SLAC) fitness center, and in 2017, I joined Stanford Health and Human Performance (HHP) as a PE golf instructor. Currently, I teach golf and Foundations of Health and Performance Psychology. I recently earned my Professional Golf Association apprentice status here at Stanford and am working towards becoming a PGA Class A Teaching Professional. My athletic background is diverse, including playing intercollegiate golf for Foothill College and American football at the University of Stirling in Scotland. Over the years, I've also enjoyed coaching youth sports, including basketball and golf.
