Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson I will watch you hit a small bucket of balls while asking some questions about your approach to swinging and some of the issues you feel you’re having. I need to recognize your true swing and then I can break down what we need to do based on where you want to get to skill wise.
Lesson 11+The goal here is to have you feeling like your game is well rounded and you can go out and score! Yes that’s right, no more torn up scorecards. No hole that seems too far, always somewhere near a par! Playing golf should be fun and by this point I hope to have made that a reality for you by instilling confidence through understanding of your swing.
Lesson 4-10This is where I expect to be hitting a groove and developing an advanced version of your swing. If we can get to the right level then we can start talking about and incorporating some of the more advanced techniques in not only your full swing but more importantly the short game. I everyone knows that to score you need to chip and putt so that will become a big part of what we are doing after you feel like you understand where we need to be with the full swing.
Lesson 2-3The second lesson is big because this is where we will start making some initial changes based upon what we found in the first meeting. I never want to throw too much at someone but it depends on you and the progress we are able to make. This is where I really take pride in being able to make some adjustments that will show instant results in your swing, I think that’s super important for you to see right away and helps gain trust.

What you need to bringAs a student I just need you to show up with your clubs and a positive attitude towards getting better. We both want that to happen but we have to work together and be on the same page to accomplish it.

What I can bringI have the approach of someone who tries not to get too technical because it’s easy to make golf really hard but hard to make golf easy, a good teacher makes golf easier. All the data and statistics should be reserved for high level players and I try to only use it to show someone what I’m seeing or where they’re improving.
