About your golf coach

Hi, I’m Coach Hari! I have been coaching the Carlmont High School Varsity golf teams for the past 10 years, guiding players to multiple league championships. As a golf instructor for over 15 years, I’ve also had the privilege of coaching my daughter, who is currently playing Division I college golf on a full scholarship. With over 36 years of personal playing experience, I bring a deep understanding of the game to every lesson. Lessons are conducted at Swing Central GC, a dedicated studio equipped powered by Trackman, offering precise analysis and feedback for faster improvement. In addition to studio sessions, I also provide on-course playing lessons to help students apply their skills in real-world scenarios and improve their course management. I am passionate about helping students of all ages and abilities improve all aspects of their game and, most importantly, lower their golf scores. Areas I focus on include: Short Game Mastery (putting, chipping, pitching); Long Game Skills (ball striking, driving distance, and accuracy); Mental Performance (staying focused and confident); Course Management (strategy and decision-making); Green Reading (improving putt success); Most importantly, I strive to make golf fun and rewarding! Whether your goal is to shoot lower scores, gain more confidence on the course, or simply enjoy this wonderful game of a lifetime, I’m here to help you every step of the way.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson would focus on the absolute fundamentals of the game. The grip, posture, alignment. To set up for success. Start with small chips and pitches. Will suggest a few drills as homework and send you a detailed Trackman report with face on and down the line videos of those shots attempted.
Lesson 11+Fine tuning, golf psychology, mindfulness, play happy, have fun, course management.
Lesson 4-10We would now be making adjustments after seeing how your ball starts off the face. Is it drawing or fading or curving, and how is the contact. Is it steep or shallow, so these will give us an idea of what we want to work on to get to a consistent shot pattern, be it a baby draws or baby fades We will also start playing 9 holes and see how we can get our scores lower. It is diring this time. I will also get you working on your shots game, so all shots within 15 yards
Lesson 2-3Take bigger swings shoulder to shoulder and get to learn how to move your core and feet through the golf swing. The next step would be how to add some speed to the club head as we want to maximize speed just past impact. The next focus would be learning how to control the clubface as I would like to train your hands to control the starting direction of your shots. We will also work on weight transfer during these sessions
