Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe best position to be in golf, is a starter! This leaves room for the right coach to implant good technique first. For the first lesson, we will go over the basic mechanics of a golf swing, and the physics behind it. To implement a solid understanding of feel for the club, the ball, and the science behind it all.
Lesson 11+Lessons 11+ we will focus on you. I will ask you where you feel the down fall of your game is, and we will attack the problems and things that YOU don’t understand. You will be heard, acknowledged, and we will conquer whatever it is that just doesn’t seem to be going right in your game.
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-10 we will take the beginner mechanics, and start to incorporate further advanced techniques. This is where we will start to inquire on ball movement, working it from left to right and vice versa. Hitting a higher ball, a lower ball etc. By the end of your 10th lesson, you will have a better feel around the greens as well, having confidence in getting up and down from the edge.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2-3 we will begging to incorporate more technique, fine tuned the original feel for the swing. By the end of your third lesson, the golf swing will not feel as foreign, and it will start to become something you don’t have to think about in order to do. In these lessons we will also begin to look at your short game, getting a feel for wedges, chipping, and putting.
Youth players
Working with kidsAs someone with 4 nephews who love to come to the golf course with their uncle, I have come to realize that golf is not just a game for adults. It is also an ever shrinking game. My ideology when it comes to teaching kids is that, if we implement the idea of “golf is fun” early, it can only translate in the later years of their time in the game. Golf is for everyone, and it isn’t just a stick and a ball, it’s a game of life that teaches patience, and perseverance. This will be communicated to your child throughout the lessons they partake in.
Working with teenagersAs someone who started golf at just 5 years old, and played competitively from 7-present, I know that golf has ups and downs at any stage of your life. I owe more than I can say to golf. In my teen years it taught me patience, perseverance, and self control on many occasions. Working with teens that enjoy the game of golf, but just aren’t sure which direction to go with the game or their swing is my ideal clientele. Not only can I hone the skill of a competitive high school golfer, but I can pass on some of the lessons I learned through the game, when I was a young teenager.
