About your golf coach

Hi, my name is Rj Lowe and live in Boise, I am 21 years old and have been golfing since around the age of four and am currently at a .2 handicap. I currently am playing golf for Boise state’s club golf team and hopefully able to play for their D1 team in the up coming year. Personally I have done over 5 years of golf lessons figuring out my own golf game and in the last year have started coaching friends and family members who have shown interest in golf. With years of experience playing golf I am looking to help people get into the sport and helping students unlock their potential and love for golf.

Caleb Howden
RJ is one of my very close friends and have grown up with eachother. During high school I wanted to play for the golf team and joined my junior year. During my junior year we went to the range at least once a week and he would help me get control of my swing and start getting more accurate. By the end of junior year I made the varsity team and got to play along side him.

I have never been a golfer and from the beginning RJ was very helpful. For our first lesson he started by teaching me how to hold a golf club for the first time and showing me how to swing a golf club. After a few months I am now able to play a full round and just broke 100 for the first time last week!

When I would they would just roll about 10 feet infront of me. Now I am able to hit all my clubs and get the ball in the air.

Rj is a really good golfer that really knows how to golf as well as teach. I am a hockey player which made it really hard to translate to a golf swing. If someone from another sport is looking to start golfing I would definitely recommend RJ

Your first lessonWe would break down the golf swing and the different aspects that go into a golf swing. Start with shorter irons and wedges
Lesson 11+Learning how to translate the skills that are being taught on the range to skills that can be used on the golf course to improve your game.
Lesson 4-10Working on getting ball striking down and translating ball striking into the game of golf
Lesson 2-3Getting muscle memory built in and learning how to hit the ball properly.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson would be to evaluate your skills and see what I can do to improve your game.
Lesson 11+Fine tuning the skills that you have been taught to keep your golf game sharp
Lesson 4-10We would apply your skills to the course and evaluate what is happening in your swing and then the following lesson work on it at the range
Lesson 2-3Depending on each persons game I would ask what they feel they struggle with the most. If it’s hitting off the tee box we would focus on your Drive and long irons. If it is chipping around the green then we would focus on different chip shots and how you use them around the green.
Youth players
Working with kidsI have ran multiple golf summer camps for over 30 children by turning the game of golf into a fun activity with games and different objectives while still teaching the fundamentals of golf.
Working with teenagersI would create games and different objectives for teens that make them want to succeed and grow their golf game.
