Shane did a great job covering the basics across most of the clubs, including pitching and putting, which was quite helpful. I feel like I got a solid foundation from the lesson and will schedule another soon.

That lesson left me energized, and Shane’s patience and depth stood out, really grounding my swing details in solid feel. The highlight landed, and I’m eager to build on it while continuing to learn and improve. If you’re deciding, a quick nudge toward booking again could pay off.

Honestly, I was pretty pleased with the lesson, especially because Caden mentioned he’s still enjoying working with Shane. That kind of consistency in teaching definitely helps me stay motivated to improve my golf game, though I appreciated the focus on my putting technique this time around. I think there’s still a lot I could work on, but Shane’s approach feels quite helpful. If you're considering it, maybe give Shane a try, I’d say.

We were really impressed by Shane’s clear verbal guidance that kept us focused on maintaining the right grip and posture, which made a big difference in consistency. The continuous feedback helped my son and I stay on track throughout the lesson.

I think Shane's lesson really helped me understand what I needed to focus on, especially with my swing alignment. Though, I still want to work on consistency, but I appreciate his calm approach. If you're looking for someone who keeps it straightforward and practical, I'd suggest giving him a try.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is all about comfort and confidence. We’ll start with an introduction to the basics — grip, stance, and posture — then move into simple contact drills to get you striking the ball. I’ll also explain golf terminology, practice habits, and set realistic goals so you know exactly what to expect on your journey.
Lesson 11+At this stage, it’s about consistency and enjoying the game. We’ll refine your swing, improve your distance control, and start working on specialty shots like fades, draws, and high/low ball flights. On-course lessons will give you real experience making decisions, managing nerves, and playing full rounds. The ultimate goal is to help you not only play better but truly enjoy the game for a lifetime.
Lesson 4-10Here we expand your skills. You’ll learn how to hit drivers and fairway woods, how to get out of bunkers, and how to manage your game around the course. Expect more structured practice and fun challenges to build confidence. We’ll also cover basic rules, etiquette, and on-course strategy so you feel comfortable stepping onto any golf course.
Lesson 2-3These sessions focus on building a foundation. You’ll work on consistent contact, learning how to control direction and distance with your irons. We’ll also introduce short game skills like chipping and putting, because that’s where beginners can improve fastest. By the end of these lessons, you’ll feel more confident swinging a club and making solid contact.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonIn the first lesson, I evaluate the player’s current skill level through a full-swing, short game, and putting assessment. We’ll establish baseline data with launch monitor metrics, discuss the player’s goals, and identify key priority areas for improvement. The focus is on building trust, setting expectations, and creating a customized development roadmap.
Lesson 11+Now the focus is on peak performance. Players can expect tournament-style preparation, advanced practice structures, and detailed statistical tracking to measure improvement. Lessons include strategy planning for competitive rounds, pressure training, and fine-tuning swing adjustments for maximum efficiency. Each session builds toward making the golfer self-sufficient in diagnosing their own swing and performing at a high level under competition conditions.
Lesson 4-10The emphasis shifts to advanced mechanics, course management, and mental performance. Players work on shaping shots, controlling trajectory, and managing distance gaps. Short game practice expands to bunker play, wedge distance control, and lag putting. On-course sessions may be introduced to simulate pressure situations and decision-making. Consistency, repetition, and building reliable routines are the main priorities during this phase.
Lesson 2-3These lessons focus on building strong fundamentals. We’ll address grip, posture, alignment, and balance, while working on swing sequencing and contact consistency. Short game practice (chipping and pitching) is introduced to highlight scoring importance. Players can expect drills tailored to their weaknesses and video feedback to see early progress

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen working with kids, I keep lessons fun, engaging, and simple by using games, visual aids, and short activities to hold their attention. I focus on building confidence and celebrating small wins so they stay motivated. I also adapt my communication style by using clear, easy-to-understand language and keeping the learning environment positive and encouraging.

Working with teenagersWith teenagers, I make lessons more interactive and relatable to their interests, while still keeping structure and goals in place. I encourage independence and let them take ownership of their progress, but also provide clear feedback and guidance. I focus on building trust and respect so they feel comfortable asking questions, while also challenging them to grow and push themselves.
