Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLesson one will be about the students goals, hand positioning, and what makes the guitar great.
Lesson 2-3Lessons after lesson 1 will be about he basics. How to hold the guitar, your right hand position, and how to get the most in tune note possible.
Lesson 4-10We will begin learning basic songs, including beginner friendly cover songs the student is interested in, through a serious of books I will recommend to follow and learn through. This will ensure the lessons are as organized and progress as easy as possible.
Lesson 11+Depending on the students progress, We will learn basic theory and continue learning songs and techniques until the student can move on to intermediate lessons.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson is all about seeing the students progress and skill. I see what they’re capable of and what can be improved
Lesson 2-3We start with goals and improvements and create a plan based on their needs and requirements. We also start on capturing the potential unique musical voice of the player. It’s crucial to find what makes each player special and how to utilize that.
Lesson 4-10We continue to check any songs that will force the player to get outside their comfort zone. I also listen to any originals and help improve the song if the students gives permission and interest in such!
Lesson 11+I show them my unique system to have the entire neck memorized in the simplest system I’ve been taught myself! Aside from learning new techniques and songs, we will continue to focus on the players unique journey as a player and developing their own story!
Youth players
Working with kidsLessons are about making it feel less like homework and more like learning a cool new skill!
Working with teenagersLessons are about playing what’s cool, songs they want to learn, and communicate on their plan with their developing guitar skill!
What you need to bring1. Bring your own electric guitar or acoustic tuned to E standard (If you don’t know how, I will teach you during the beginners introduction lesson)
2. Please have a tuner (preferably a headstock tuner) a working guitar cable, and a guitar pick.
3. The guitar must be fully functional, no missing strings, and ready for playing.
4. Please have a notebook, phone, or iPad for taking notes during lessons.
What I can bringI will have an amp modeler connected to the computer for ease of use and best quality sound. I have my own guitars depending on lesson situation. I will also have the equipment ready at hand as I’ve asked students to have as well.
