Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first thing I do is assess your ability if any at all so I can realistically start training you. If it’s voice, I’ll ask you to sing something and tell me what problems or pain you’re experiencing at the moment. If it’s I’ll ask you to demonstrate whatever chord knowledge you have so I do not over teach you. Then I start teaching you basic vocabulary of the names of the parts of the guitar and we start learning our first chords and playing them with a drum beat
Lesson 11+After a few months, you start to have a clear direction of where your music is going and how much work it will take to get there. The better you get the more input I start to ask for your direction and style and the song as you wanna focus on for your development.
Lesson 4-10Now Both singing students and guitar students may move into songs if they are technically ready. Things get a lot more interesting at and it’s often half-and-half of technical training and actual performance experience
Lesson 2-3For singing, the next several classes is typically working on fundamentals and continually reviewing your pain points. For Guitar, we are continuing to do exercise exercises of putting cords together and learning to switch on time with the drum beat.
What you need to bringSingers bring your voice ready to sing. Guitar students bring your guitar. Bass students bring your bass.
What I can bringAlthough I have more equipment than you can imagine, it’s best to bring your own guitar to class. Everything else is provided for you. If you don’t have one I can loan you one. Singer just need to show up with their voice ready to train.
