About your guitar coach

Unlocking musical potential is my specialty. With five years of guitar instruction, I cultivate a fun learning environment rooted in solid technique. I'm dedicated to helping students achieve their unique musical goals. I primarily specialize with Rock Music as I was in a band for 4 years in high school and giged frequently in college.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonDuring the first lesson I would introduce the instrument and teach the studnet how to properly set up and care for it. Then I would teach how to play their first few chords and a song that utalized the new chords.
Lesson 11+This would be around when I would assess if the student would be still an beginner or if they are now an intermediate level student. I would do this by having them demonstrate 5 songs they have learned, along with some questions about the songs, and ask them how to properly maintenance their instrument.
Lesson 4-10These lessons would further the knowledge built on the introductory courses by adding more song repertoire for the students. I would also start to introduce the idea of music theory and integrate that idea into learning new songs.
Lesson 2-3These lessons would build off the first by introducing new chords and learning a few more songs that utalize the new chords. I would also trickle in some tips about maintenance of the instrument (changing strings, tone knobs, strumming positions , etc.)

Youth players
Working with kidsWorking with kids is from my experience not much different than working with adults. The few differences come with using less sophisticated language and having more patientence in expecting perfection from the student.

Working with teenagersWorking with Teenagers are somewhere in between working with adults and kids. They would largly benifit more from reading music charts and can understand the concept reading music a lot quicker than a kid would.

What you need to bringPreferably they're own Guitar and Amp (if needed) If not I can provide a Guitar and we can trade off using the one amp I have.
