Beginner training plan
Your first lessonTuning the guitar. Simple chord progressions.
Lesson 11+Every lesson will begin with checking guitar tuning. Introducing new chords, scales, songs, and basic music theory.
Lesson 4-10Tune guitar. Review chords, scales, and new songs, and some basic music theory.
Lesson 2-3Review tuning and chord progressions. Introduce scale(s). New song.
Youth players
Working with kidsGenerally start kids. Out with 1 and 2 finger chords. Teaching simple chord progressions.
Working with teenagersStart out teaching basic scales, chord progressions, and songs depending on skill level.
What you need to bringStudents must bring their own guitar and eventually purchase a clip on tuner, or download a tuner from cel phone app store.
