Your first lessonI approach the first lesson by connecting with the student on a personal level and understanding their goals in playing the guitar and what music they enjoy. I give a rundown of guitar basics and teach basic technique with picking, fretting, and strumming in the first lesson. I always focusing on making learning music fun!
Lesson 2-3We balance repetition and introducing new material to create momentum and confidence. I teach basic chords and give the student a song to practice.
Lesson 4-10Introduce more chords and songs to widen the students chordal ability.
Introduce riffs, the pentatonic scale, and picking to improve single-note playing.
Lesson 11+Introduce music theory concepts and more advanced techniques and rhythms. Tailor lessons to students desires as a player and have fun!
