About your guitar coach
Music has been my language for over three decades, from the stage to the studio as a recording artist. I bring 35 years of experience and a deep passion for guitar to every lesson, guiding students of all levels to find their own musical voice. My music history includes artists in the genre of alternative, rock and pop, indie, grunge, metal and the early 2000's post grunge era. Some of my main artist influences are Stone Temple Pilots, Gavin DeGraw, Alice In Chains, Metallica, RHCP, Maroon 5, Train, and Gin Blossoms to name a few.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonYour first lesson will include setting your goals, whether it be to learn basic chords or learning a particular song and getting an idea of your music interest, including artists that you like and styles of music you prefer. I will craft the lesson plan around the goal of the student.
Lesson 11+The remaining lessons going forward would include refining and sharpening skills and delving into more advanced techniques if that is their goal. It's entirely up to the student and their vision for music as to how to continue their coaching.
Lesson 4-10After mastering some basic chords and notes, the student could expect to learn how to apply those fundamentals to specific songs of interest.
Lesson 2-3A beginner could expect to learn basic chords or notes, strumming patterns.

Working with teenagersHaving had three teenagers myself I have an approach for lesson plans with teens that matches their specific music or genre that they are interested in to connect at a level that they feel understood.
