Reuben’s teaching style was a refreshing change of pace for me. I’d tried out other teachers, but it all seemed too corporate for me and I felt like I didn’t really learn anything. With Reuben though, I was able to get comfortable writing and creating my own music, and I was able to develop my signature tone/sound as well, with his help. Reuben was awesome, and I’ll definitely be learning with him again

Reuben is really easy to talk to and learn with. There wasn’t any kind of pressure to do well, or any kind of deadlines. We went at the pace I felt comfortable with and, at the end, I was able to play one of my favorite songs from ABBA! I really cannot recommend Reuben as a teacher enough
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI’d ask you what kind of music you listen to, and we would pick 1 song to continually learn to play, while learning the basics of guitar, such as: picking, fingerstyle, chords (barre chords as well), music reading, and tablature reading
Lesson 11+We would, with our final lessons, briefly review your guitar skills and see if anything needs improvement, and try and play all of the music that you’d like to play. My goal would for you to be able to play 1-3 songs of your choice, with fluency. If you’d like, I could even mix and record your cover, or play with you!
Lesson 4-10At this point, we would continue learning the basics of guitar, while expanding from 1 song of your choice to as many as you’d like to play!
Lesson 2-3We would re-hash what we did in the previous lesson, except a little more focused. While the first lesson is all about getting to know you and your musical goals, lessons 2 and 3 will be about slowly working our way towards that goal
