About your guitar coach

Hey! My name is Ryan and I’m the lead guitarist in a nationally touring band The Young Escape. I have years of live music and studio experience and can play in a wide variety of styles from pop to blues to funk to rock. My teaching focuses on giving beginning guitar students a solid foundation for their skills so they have the tools to effectively express themselves on their instrument. My goal with my students is to get them excited to pick up their guitar everyday.

He was patient and worked though everything at my pace. He never made me feel less for not knowing anything. He’s an amazing teacher, who you can learn so much from. He has a great amount of experience, and isn’t afraid to share. He answered all my questions without any hesitation. Wonderful time learning from him! Would recommend 10/10.
Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI teach fundamentals. I focus on fretting, finger positioning, and strumming. I love using the chromatic scale for starters!
Lesson 11+Learning all the songs you’ve ever wanted to learn.
Lesson 4-10This is when I usually start using a metronome with beginners. All the scales we have learned will be played with a click track.
Lesson 2-3I usually review what we went over in the first lesson and move on to chords / more scales. I’ll teach the simple chords first and a scale if you’re ready!
