About your math tutor
I am a Florida-certified educator with 29+ years of education. I'm certified in Middle School Mathematics(Grades 5-9) and have dedicated my career to helping students build confidence and achieve success in mathematics. I have taught students in grades 6-9, including Algebra 1, Geometry, and middle school math courses. Algebra is one of my greatest passions, while helping students develop a deep understanding of mathematics while strengthening their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Your first lessonI like them to ask them questions about the material to understand their disconnection.
Lesson 2-3We will always begin with a review of previous lesson or asking their understanding of the assignment they have to complete.
Lesson 4-10I will expect them to be focused and ready to start. They can be proactive about session and be ready to dive in and ask questions.
Lesson 11+They are no longer considered a beginner to me and we should be able to dive into lesson and navigate through it together because they are aware of my expectations from them.
