Beginner training plan
Your first lessonEvaluate why they want to take piano lessons, then proceed with the basics
Lesson 11+Proceed to play harder repetoire and introduce more theory
Lesson 4-10Typically this is when I focus on consistent rhythms along with learning to read notes and enforcing previous information
Lesson 2-3Continue reviewing basics and add some things slowly such as dynamics.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonDepends on what advanced means. I have helped people auditioning for college piano performance (and they got accepted to multiple well-known schools), but that's my limit.
Youth players
Working with kidsI typically teach kids aged 5-18. Depending on the age, I know different methods to keep them encouraged and learning.
Working with teenagersThey're usually more serious, and I can throw more information at then especially if they have plated a different I strument before.
What you need to bringMust have their own keyboard or piano in some way in order to practice at home.
What I can bringI bring my own books and supplementary material, but I encourage you to buy the books after the first lesson.
