Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI start with a friendly and encouraging introduction, getting to know the student’s musical interests and goals. I introduce the basics of piano technique, posture, rhythm, and reading music at a comfortable pace. My goal is to make the first lesson enjoyable and build confidence from the very beginning.
Lesson 2-3Students will build on what they learned in the first lesson. We will review basic notes, rhythm, and proper hand position, then begin learning simple exercises and a beginner-friendly piece. I will adjust the pace to each student’s level and help them develop confidence, coordination, and good practice habits. By
Lesson 4-10Students continue building strong fundamentals through scales, rhythm, note reading, and basic music theory. They begin developing better hand coordination, technique, and confidence while learning simple pieces and applying what they have learned. Each lesson builds gradually toward playing more independently and musically.
Lesson 11+Students will continue developing their technique, music reading, rhythm, and confidence while learning new pieces suited to their level. Lessons will focus on becoming more independent, expressive, and comfortable at the piano, with goals adjusted to each student’s progress.
Youth players
Working with kidsI adapt each lesson to the child’s age, personality, learning style, and musical interests. I use age-appropriate activities, simple explanations, games, rhythm exercises, and songs to keep children engaged and motivated. I balance fun with structured learning so students develop strong fundamentals in music reading, technique, rhythm, and performance while building confidence and enjoying their piano lessons.
Working with teenagersI adapt lessons to each teenager’s musical interests, skill level, and personal goals. I encourage students to choose music they enjoy while also developing strong technique, music reading, rhythm, and musical expression. I keep lessons engaging and challenging, while helping teenagers build confidence, independence, and a deeper appreciation for music.
