Your first lessonLessons are tailored according to your strengths and abilities and move at a pace that keeps you engaged.
Core fundamentals are key for all future lessons so I ensure you understand not just the what and how of shot technique and positioning but why.
For beginners. First lessons generally ensure you have the proper grip, stance and know how to move on the court. Then we usually focus on dinking; lift dinks, push dinks, straight dinks, cross-court dinks and volley dinks.
Lesson 4-10Future lessons are tailored according to your progress.
We will add in review of overhead shots, both defensive and offensive lobbing.
Game strategy and court positioning are key elements to take advantage of all the shots we have learned and make them effective.
Advanced topics such as top spin, slicing, misdirection, inside out shots, ATP can be introduced if it makes sense.
Game play observation and feedback is also key for you to understand your strengths and weaknesses.
Lesson 2-3We move on to block volleys and punch volleys as well as other ways to play the 4th shots.
We review your serves look at your serving technique, ensuring you can get your serves in most of the time and look at adding pace and spin to your serves.
We will also look at third shots, third shot drops of long dinks as well as the third shot drive and when to do one versus the other.
