Beginner training plan
Your first lessonToday, our main goal is to get you comfortable with the feel of the ball on the paddle. Weāll start at the beginning, just like you will in every game: serving. Once we get the ball going in the right direction, weāll move on to returning the serve (and returning the return). Expect a little bit of chaos, but when the dust settles youāll understand the basic rules of the game and be excited to practice the shots you learned.
Lesson 4-10Weāll develop consistency, control, and confidence in the fundamental skills and strategies. After a chat about your pickleball goals, weāll put together a progress plan and go from there!
Lesson 2-3Last time we focused on starting the point, in these lessons youāll learn to keep the point going (with shots called volleys and dinks) and how to keep score after it ends. After these lessons, youāll know the rules and shots youāll need to play a friendly game.
