About your pickleball coach
I started playing pickleball on a cruise in 2020 and now play almost every day with a 3.5 DUPR rating. I've competed in numerous tournaments and love helping beginners and developing players build confidence while learning the game. I know how intimidating it can be to start, so my lessons are relaxed, encouraging, and fun! You'll learn the fundamentals, improve your skills, and leave every lesson excited to get back on the court!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will go over the basic rules and scoring. How to hold the paddle and positioning. Combination of fun drills to build confidence and plenty of encouragement and feedback.
Lesson 2-3Review fundamentals and build on them. Improve consistency with serves and drives. Introduction into dinking and resets. Partner communication and court positioning. Game-like drills and learning when to attach and when to play patiently.
Lesson 4-10Develop a reliable third-shot drop and drive. Master dinking, resets, and net play. Improve footwork and court positioning. Learn shot selection and strategy. Play situational games and competitive drills. Identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Lesson 11+Fine tune technique and eliminate bad habits. Advanced strategy and shot selection. Improve consistency under pressure. Develop specialty shots and transitions. Practice match scenarios and point construction. Personalized drills based on your goals. Prepare for leagues or tournaments.
Youth players
Working with kidsFor kids, I feel that the biggest thing is that the lesson should feel like a game first and a class second. Kids usually learn best when they’re moving, having fun, and getting small wins. I will coach by focusing less on technical perfection early and more on confidence, coordination, and enjoyment.
Working with teenagersFor teens I feel the lesson should be more structured because they can handle more strategy and technical details. I will focus on building confidence, improving skills, and helping them compete or play socially.
