Evan is a great instructor. I played college Division 1 tennis at a high level so I am familiar with the basics. Evan is a very skilled player and coach.

Honestly, I found the lesson quite helpful, especially learning to do a spin serve and volley hand coordination which was pretty useful for my game. Though, I think adding more trick serves and ways to protect my body shots could really make a difference. Still, Baines' approach is quite steady, and I appreciate the detailed feedback. It’s given me some new tools to practice, and I’m hopeful about improving further. If you’re looking to refine specific skills, it might be worth giving Baines a try.

What I enjoyed most was how Evan adapted my tennis experience to pickleball, making the transition easier. The lesson was clear and well-paced, helping me grasp key concepts quickly. If you’re thinking about trying pickleball or want to build on your racket skills, Evan’s lessons are worth checking out. It’s a great way to get started and have fun learning.

The lesson with Baines was quite helpful, especially in fine-tuning my dink shots and positioning. Though I still have some aspects to improve, I appreciated how clear and focused the instruction was, definitely a step forward in my pickleball skills.

What stood out the most in this lesson with Evan was the clear and helpful serve instruction. The session moved at a good pace and focused on building solid fundamentals. If you're interested in improving your game, Evan's lessons are definitely worth trying out for a well-rounded pickleball experience.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson will be focused on finding the specific areas you can improve the most in and figuring out what bad habits we can break right away to improve your level day one.
Lesson 11+From this point on it should be mostly up to you what you think you need to work on, I will give input if I think you aren’t working on something you maybe should be but for the most part my hope is that I will have given you the skills to assess your own game and deduce what it is you need to be working and I can simply act as a guide to show you path to level up your game.
Lesson 4-10By this point we should have a good idea of of what our training sessions are going to look like and you should be seeing a lot of improvement in your rec games, at this point we may want to revisit what you think the weak points of your game are and adjust our session accordingly.
Lesson 2-3The following lessons will be focused on the issues we discovered on day one and creating a plan to improve those aspects of your game long term

Youth players
Working with kidsI am a barber so I work with kids a lot, I love working with them but they have to come with a good mindset and they have to want to learn, we will do fun drilling games that focus on fundamentals and I will play at a level that’s challenging for them but not demoralizing.

Working with teenagersWith Teenagers I would focus on making things fun and trying to draw out the competitor in them, doing lots of drilling games and playing at a level that’s challenging for them but not demoralizing.

What you need to bringThemselves, court shoes, their pickleball paddle (optional), proper attire and a good attitude/improvement mindset (not optional).

What I can bringI have a nice portable net and a Titan One ball machine to make any outdoor park session fun and productive. I can bring extra paddles if students are interested in experimenting with their paddle choice and obviously I have lots of balls.
